How to make money in Lagos Life

Last updated 2026-10-12

Earning in Lagos Life is about finishing shifts, building the right skill, and keeping rent covered before luxury spends.

Shift pay formula

From the official careers guide: finished-shift pay starts from the career level’s base amount, then multiplies by 0.6 + 0.8 × (performance ÷ 100). Active wage policies (including a governor “minimum wage raise” of +15% per shift) and events can change the result.

Example (entry Tech, 5 weekday shifts, 100% performance): ₦2,520 × 1.4 × 5 ≈ ₦17,640 / week before other bonuses. Compare that with Mushin rent ₦420 / week.

Climb faster

  1. Train the career’s promotion skill between shifts (see the official skills guide).
  2. Keep performance ≥ 60 so promotions can fire at skill levels 1, 3, 5, 7.
  3. Eat and wash before long shifts so hunger/hygiene penalties do not cut pay.
  4. Pick a work tone you can recover from — “working hard” raises performance but drains energy and fun.

Daily gift

Official beginner tips: come back daily for a gift — ₦500 on day one, up to ₦5,000 on day seven.

Optional real-money top-ups

The game is free. Official terms say in-game naira can be topped up (Paystack in browser; IAP on phones) but has no real-world value and cannot be cashed out or transferred. This fan site does not sell top-ups or accounts.
